Commenting in tasks and inspections

The comment module helps to effectively communicate with colleagues while carrying out inspections and completing tasks.


Contact your manager to enable this module. Note that commenting will be available only in tasks and inspections created after this module had been enabled.


What is the comment module for

- users can reach out to the task/inspection author and ask clarifying questions if the description is not comprehensive enough;
- authors and observers of tasks can effectively communicate with assignees, answering their questions and providing them with new information on tasks/inspections when it is needed;
- comments can also be used for notification purposes.

Who can comment

Any user who has access to a task can comment it, whether they are an author, observer, or assignee.

Where you can comment

You can leave a comment to any task or inspection, except for:
- inspections generated by rules without review stage;
- Inspections where the author and assignee is the same person.

How to leave a comment

In the web app, click the Write a comment button next to the task or inspection you would like to comment.

In the mobile app:


In the comment module, you can:

  • write a text comment;
  • attach files to your comment;
  • record and attach a voice message to your comment;
  • mention someone using the @ at sign;
  • delete a comment;
  • find any comment using the search;
  • see highlighted unread comments;
  • enable and disable push notifications.
How to delete a comment

To delete a comment in the web app, use the trashcan button at the bottom of the comment.

To delete a comment in the mobile app, swipe the comment from right to left and tap the trashcan button.

Anyone can delete their own comment. System administrators can delete any comments.

How to view comments

To view comments on a task or inspection, click the Show comments button.

If there are no comments yet, the Write a comment button will be available instead.

You can click on the bell button at the top-right corner of the screen to see all new comments on your tasks and inspections.

After you click the bell button, the list of chats will appear. Chats with unread comments will be highlighted. Use the search button to find a specific store.
