How to create departments
What are departments?
Departments represent the organizational structure of the company. For example, HR department, logistics department, etc. Departments are used to define user permissions within the QVALON app.
By default, the system will create three departments. They cannot be deleted, but they can be renamed.
- 1001 Operations. A region level user of this department will be considered as a regional manager, a division level user as division manager and such.
- 1002 Undefined. All users who were not assigned to any other department will be assigned to this one.

1003 Store managers. The system will automatically assign this department to all users with the Store Manager role.
Additional departments can be added as required. For example, HR, quality control, security service, etc.
How to create a department
To create a department, tap on the Creating new department button to open a window for the same..
Enter the name of the department being created and tap on Create department to proceed.
Edit information about a department
To view/edit the information about a department, tap on it in the list of departments to find the editing menu.
In the Info tab, you may edit the name of the selected department. To allow users from the selected department to create tasks, select the Can create tasks option and tap on the Save changes button.
In the Geolocation tab, you can decide if users from selected departments can start an inspection while being away from the facility they are checking.
After selecting the preferred options, tap on the Save changes button.
The Users tab displays users assigned to the selected department. To search for a specific user, fill in the relevant fields and tap the Search button.
