Import of Objects

A user can add new entities and edit existing ones using the import menu. This option is only available to system administrators. They can access the import menu in the Settings section of the website.

The user can use the import to:

  • add new objects
  • edit info on existing objects
  • deactivate objects

The import menu consists of several sections:

  1. The Import section is to be used for uploading the import template (.xlsx or .csv).mceclip1.png
  2. The Settings are to be used to define the parameters for creating, editing, and deactivating objects.mceclip2.png
  3. The Import description gives a brief description of the import process.mceclip4.png

How to import an object

Go to the Settings - Import section of the website to see the import menu.

Download the import template and fill it. The user can also read a more detailed description of the fields below.

«Latitude», «Longitude»

When entering the coordinates of an object, the user can include either a dot or comma for decimal values (e.g., 40.757971 or 40,757971).

Store ID

A store ID defines what the system should do with the imported object.

  • To create a new object, enter a store ID that does not exist in the system or leave this field blank. In the last case, a store ID will be generated automatically.
  • To edit info about an existing object, enter the store ID of an object that is to be changed and fill in all other fields.
  • To deactivate an object, delete it from the import file. By default, all stores that are not in the imported file will be deactivated.

Region name

Determines the region of an imported object. To add an object to an existing region, the region name must be entered correctly.

All objects in the system must be linked to regions. Therefore, the user must define the default region in which all stores will be imported in case any issue occurs during the import (e.g., if the region name field is left blank).

The region of any object can be changed after the import at any time.

Store manager login and Region office address

These fields are not required to import.

Enter the login ID of the user to appoint as a store manager for the corresponding object. Make sure to write the login ID exactly as spelled in the Users list.

The Region office address is currently not used in the system, so this field can be left blank.

Other settings define what the system should do with imported stores under specific conditions. Read more about the default settings in the Store ID section.
